In addition to having experience in commercial lending, Dan acquired and turned around a failing US manufacturer, where he converted and managed multiple factories and then developed relationships and transitioned to sourcing in Asia. As CEO for 19 years, his experience included all aspects of the business including, marketing, sales, product development, manufacturing, finance and international supply chain development. The company, which was awarded Industry Supplier Entrepreneur of the Year, was successfully sold in 2007 to a publicly held member of Europe’s CAC 40.
Dan serves on the business advisory committee for Innovation Park at Notre Dame and also focuses on board, committee and leadership roles for non-profits in healthcare, education, and finance. Dan received his bachelors degree from Benedictine College and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
Gary has 40 years of experience in the development of software, communication systems and products. Gary was a Senior Director at Hughes Network System, and previously the Communication Satellite Corp. (COMSAT). Prior to HNS, Gary was a Founder of Telogy Networks, a company that was a pioneer of Voice over IP technology. Gary received his BS in Computer Science Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a MS in Engineering Management from George Washington University
Joanne is currently the President of Isham Associates, which partners with clients to identify and shape high value strategic business opportunities, address critical business and program challenges, develop a high-performance culture and position clients for success. Joanne retired from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 2006 after a distinguished 30+ year career working in the Intelligence Community. A few of Joanne’s more prominent roles included serving as the Deputy Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and as the Deputy Director for Science and Technology at the CIA. As the senior technical advisor to the Director of Central Intelligence she managed the research, development, deployment and operation of technical intelligence programs of national importance. During this timeframe, Joanne played a significant role in the creation of In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s non-profit venture capital firm designed to allow the CIA to compete with the commercial marketplace with speed and agility.
Upon her retirement from the CIA, Joanne joined BAE Systems as the Vice President, Deputy General Manager of Network Systems, and later joined High Performance Technologies as COO. Joanne is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. She resides in Virginia, with her husband, Brian, and their three daughters.
In Memoriam — June 5, 1943 – August 8, 2012
Ed has over 32 years of experience in the private sector in strategy consulting, marketing, sales, and operations including 23 years as GM, COO, and CEO. He worked with both private and public companies in a number of industries from instruments and electronics to housing, including the acquisition of a small modular housing company where he increased sales 4X and produced a 14x return on invested capital. Ed was Founding Member of Blu Venture Investors and an investor and Board Director for O’Sullivan Films, which was acquired by an international company producing a 9X return. He currently serves as a Board Director for a software company and Executive Chairman for a housing company. Ed received his BS from the University of Nebraska and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Experienced in starting, financing and growing companies with direct experience in the commercial, federal, and international software industry. Currently president of GreenLine Group at A-T Solutions. Recently restructured GreenLine Systems Inc. into an international product and services company — doubled revenues and sold to A-T Solutions Inc (2010-2013). Previously CEO and co-founder of mobile platform company PointAbout Inc (2007-2010) sold to ThreePillar Global (2011) and ShareThis (2013). General Manager, Public Sector Business Development at Microsoft (2002-2007) responsible for building new markets across Federal, State, and Education accounts. General Manager MidAmerica Sales & Services (1998-2002) responsible for managing an organization consisting of 120 sales representatives, marketing professionals and consultants that drove over $250 million in product quota per year plus $20 million in services sales for Microsoft.
After a 35 year career in the Central Intelligence Agency, Alan retired from federal service at the end of 2005. Alan held a series of senior positions at CIA, including the Director of Communications, Director of Security, and Chief Information Officer. In recent years, Alan has worked with several early stage companies in addition to starting a consulting practice. He has served on numerous advisory boards and boards of directors, including Safeboot N.V. (acquired by McAfee in 2007), Detica DFI (acquired by BAE Systems in 2008), Composite Software (acquired by Cisco in 2013) and Applied Communications Sciences (acquired by The SI Organization in 2013). Alan received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and his MS in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University.
Bill has over 30 years experience in design and development of telecommunications products, silicon and software. Bill was a Senior Fellow at Texas Instruments and served as Chief Technical Officer of Systems and Software Architecture for the Digital Signal Processing Systems Group. Prior to Texas Instruments, Bill was a Founder of Telogy Networks, a company that was a pioneer of Voice over IP technology and products. Bill holds a number of patents and has served on several technology advisory boards. Bill received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and his MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
