We invest in startups raising Pre-Seed through Series A rounds with a focus on cybersecurity, healthtech, and B2B SaaS.

Our Philosophy: The 5 Ts

Team

We seek experienced, coachable founders with strong business fundamentals and a commitment to growth. Teams should have expertise in business, sales, marketing, and technical knowledge.

Technology

We invest in innovative companies with disruptive technologies solving critical problems. Businesses should possess barriers to entry, IP, stickiness, and competitive defensibility.

TAM (Market)

Companies should compete in growing markets (>$1B) demonstrating strong growth with unique offerings. 

Traction

We seek companies with significant traction that are post-production, post-revenue, and post-customer.

  • Pre-Seed: Post-MVP with a path to $100K ARR and high growth projections

  • Seed & Series A: >$500K ARR

Terms

We lead and follow-on early-stage deals. Round sizes should be:

  • Seed: $250k to ~ $3M

  • Series A: $2M to $15M

Investment Process

To become a BVI portfolio company, a prospective investment must receive a majority vote from the partners at the following stages:​

Screening

After 1-2 screening meetings, qualified companies will begin the due diligence process.

Due Diligence

Funding

At this stage, Blu thoroughly evaluates the company's potential and validates its business model.

Funding occurs after all the deal terms and conditions have been finalized.
